Rev. Johnny Grissom is the Dean of Missions at Texas Bible College in Lufkin, Texas. Originally from West Texas, he has spent a lifetime in ministry. While pastoring in the Rio Grande Valley, he and his wife received the call to missions and their family relocated to Colombia, South America. During his missionary tenure, Bro. Grissom hosted an AYC group, served as a member of the National Board, established the National Sunday School Department, coordinated and ministered at various seminars and ministerial leadership retreats, translated Sunday School curriculum and materials, and founded a Bible college in the capital city of Bogotá. Upon returning to the United States, he served as an Instructor at Texas Bible College where he taught classes in English and in Spanish. He has also taught courses in Vocational Spanish at Odessa College in Odessa, Texas and has worked as a hospital chaplain. He has pastored churches across Texas in the cities of Raymondville, Midland, Athens, and Canton. While pastoring in Athens, Texas, he simultaneously pastored two daughter works. As a pastor, he has also founded and assisted in the development of a number of ministerial development programs, including Single Adult Ministries, which he has supported in each church he has pastored.
